History Released in 1961, the E-Type cab remained a pure roadster all its 14 years career long. There are tree different versions of the E-Type know as Series 1, 2 and 3. It was very sucessfull overseas and bore the name of XKE in the American continent. On screen career The E-Type is for sure the most widespread Jaguar in films. Recently, the E-Type featured in Austin Powers with a union jack painted on it and the nickname "Shaguar". In the last Austin Powers film, it was replaced by a XK8, the actual roadster of Jaguar's range
